Credit Card Verification in Germany FAQ

If you book a flight for a passenger who isn’t travelling with you, you may need to meet certain requirements before that passenger will be allowed to board. If you made the booking with a debit or credit card that is not registered under the “Verified by Visa” or “MasterCard SecureCode Programme”, you will need to be present at the airport check-in counter for verification.

If you do not wish to be present at the airport check-in counter for verification, you will need to submit a Letter of Indemnity at our local Singapore Airlines Ticket Office in Frankfurt in order to be exempted from having to be present at the airport.

Please find below more information in our FAQs for credit card verification for bookings made in Germany.

If you’ve booked a flight with your credit card for a passenger who isn’t travelling with you, you will need to submit a Letter of Indemnity (LOI). The LOI authorises Singapore Airlines to collect payment for the booking with your credit card, and indemnifies Singapore Airlines from fraud.
