Unaccompanied minors

Unaccompanied minors

No request is too big. Especially when it comes to your little ones.

We believe everyone should have a safe and enjoyable in-flight experience, no matter the age. Which is why we’re here to look after our young flyers from check-in to arrival, with our Unaccompanied Minors Handling Service.

Please note that all passengers under 18 years of age must be minimally accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) at check-in.

An unaccompanied minor is any passenger aged between 5 and below 18 years old, who is not travelling with an adult on the same flight and class of travel. If your child is below 5 years of age, for their safety, we cannot allow them to travel unaccompanied. The Unaccompanied Minor Handling Service is mandatory for passengers aged 5 to below 12 years old, and optional for passengers aged between 12 and below 18 years old.

Please note that if you opt in for the Unaccompanied Minors Handling Service, it will be for the entire leg of a journey (for e.g., Melbourne to London via Singapore) and not a partial sector. Due to flight safety requirement, unaccompanied minors are not allowed to select a seat in the emergency exit row. We reserve the right to reassign your seat.
