Singapore Airlines is excited to announce our partnership with renowned chef and restaurateur Sid Sahrawat.
Joining our Guest Chef programme, Sid will curate four seasonal menus that spotlight the finest New Zealand ingredients, focusing on showcasing local produce and drawing inspiration from his Indian heritage. The in-flight menus are inspired by the flavours and styles found in his acclaimed restaurants, bringing a taste of Kiwi culinary scene to the inflight dining experience.
Launching on 1 March 2025, passengers departing Auckland and Christchurch in First Class and Business Class can look forward to a specially crafted menu that includes Marlborough King Salmon, Canterbury Lamb and a classic Kiwi Pavlova with Salt Baked Pineapple.
This culinary collaboration is the first of its kind in New Zealand for Singapore Airlines, and we look forward to offering our customers an even more elevated dining experience in the sky.

Our Guest Chef Programme, which complements our International Culinary Panel (ICP) of five world-renowned chefs, aims to create exclusive, regionally-inspired menus that offer a unique taste of local cuisine at 30,000 feet.
Chef Sid's menu will be available onboard or can be pre-ordered* through our Book the Cook service, in First Class or Business Class, for passengers departing Auckland and Christchurch. Here's how it works.
1. Book Your Flight:
• Ensure you have a confirmed booking in First Class and Business Class on a Singapore Airlines flight.
2. Access "Book the Cook":
• Go to the Singapore Airlines website and navigate to the "Manage Booking" section.
• Select the "Book the Cook" option.
3. Choose and Pre-Order Your Meal:
• Browse the menu to find Sid's dishes and select your preferred main course. Make sure to do this at least 48 hours before your flight.
4. Enjoy Your Pre-Selected Meal Onboard:
• Your preferred main course will be prepared and served to you during the flight, providing a personalised dining experience.
