The Singapore Airlines Charity Run 2014 will be held on 2 November 2014 at the F1 Pit Building. It will have a distinctive aviation and travel theme and fun-filled activities for all ages. To encourage participation from the public, various categories will be incorporated into the Run, including a 10km Competitive Run, 5km Fun Run, 300m Kids Dash for children aged 4 to 12, as well as a Corporate Challenge with a team of five runners completing 10km each (refer to Annex for more details).

Winners of the 10km Competitive Run and Corporate Challenge will receive attractive prizes in the form of air tickets. In addition, all participants will be entitled to take part in a lucky draw for a chance to win a pair of SIA Business Class return tickets to a destination of their choice. SIA KrisFlyer and PPS Club members will stand to win 50,000 KrisFlyer miles.

Mr Foo Kean Shuh, Chairman of the Singapore Airlines Charity Run 2014 Committee, said: “The Singapore Airlines Group is pleased to be doing our part to give back to the community in the lead-up to the nation’s 50th birthday celebrations. Running for a good cause has never been so much fun or as rewarding with the fabulous air tickets to be given out to race anlucky draw winners."

Participants as well as members of the public can also enjoy activities on the sidelines of the Charity Run, including performances by SIA employees.

These include children with special needs and youths-at-risk, people with disabilities, frail and lonely elderly, and families facing difficulties.

The Charity Run is being held in the lead-up to Singapore’s 50th birthday in 2015, in tandem with the Care & Share Movement under which net proceeds will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Singapore Government.
