The Skaroe Ice Cream partnership with SIA began in 2011 to provide customers with delicious Ice Cream, made authentically with fresh, organic ingredients. This was an incredible hit with the majority of families, who were given the best of both worlds, a healthy treat for their children that was not only tasty but also nutritious. Britta Tarp, the founder of Skaroe Ice cream embarked on this ice cream adventure in 2004. The production of this organic desert began due to her dissatisfaction of local ice cream offerings. She did not believe the quality on the market represented the quality she desired, where ice cream ought to be produced without additives, while at the same time delivering great taste and authenticity. This fueled her desire to embark on production of her own ice cream, where all of the ingredients were impressively based on natures many flavors, creating a huge hype in the local community.
The Ice Cream served on board contains birch juice and sugar kelp, which enhances the flavour of berries, fruit and cream, providing both the sorbet- and dairy ice creams with a lighter and fresher texture.
As a special treat for our passengers, Skaroe Ice Cream produced the specially curated Singapore Sling Ice Sorbet, which passengers can enjoy on special occasions. By mixing Skaroe’s organic, fresh and locally sourced ingredients from the local market and the taste sensation known from the famous Singapore Sling drink, the most perfect sparkling fruity ice cream with the delightful flavour could come to life.
In order to always provide passengers with new flavours and variations of ice cream, the ice cream on board the aircraft is changed every few months. We personally take part in Ice Cream tastings before every new selection to ensure you get served with the best.
