Other and separate conditions apply to carriage of passengers, baggage and cargo by air, or any promotion which SIA may run from time to time. If you travel on a flight operated by SIA, the General Conditions of Carriage apply to the carriage of passengers, baggage and cargo by air.

Liability for Baggage

SIA’s liability and its code share partners’ for loss, damage or delay to your baggage is limited by Montreal Convention and Warsaw Convention, and/or such other applicable law or regulation.

Please also see SIA’s Privacy Policy regarding information you supply when you use this Web Site which is subject to Section 13 below in so far as Internet Check-In and other Flight-related Internet Transactions are concerned.

If you have elected to receive flight alerts (including but not limited to Arrival & Departure Alerts and My Booking Alerts) via email or your mobile phone or such other mobile devices, from SIA, these Conditions of Use similarly apply. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, SIA shall not be liable for non-delivery of any and all Alert messages and cannot guarantee the timeliness, reliability or accurateness of any and all Alert messages which you receive. SIA shall, on a best efforts basis, attempt to ensure you do receive timely and accurate information. In case of any doubt, please check with your travel agent or the nearest SIA office nearer the relevant date and time of the flight arrival/departure. Further SIA shall not be liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, which you may suffer as a result of subscribing for these flight alerts, relying on the information contained in such flight alerts or receiving or not receiving these flight alerts. Please note that SIA may at any time withdraw this flight alerts facility without notice.

SIA permits passengers who are travelling together in the same Passenger Name Record (PNR) to utilise our Internet Check-In facility to check-in together and for each other. SIA has introduced this enhancement in our Internet Check-In facility to provide a seamless check-in procedure for the benefit of our passengers who are travelling together, often as a family or as friends. As such, the Confidential Information reflected in your PNR (which you have provided to us and the other passengers in the same PNR) will be automatically pre-populated in the Internet Check-In electronic processes as soon as you or one of the passengers in this PNR elects to check in for the other passengers in the same PNR including yourself. However, we wish to assure you that only essential Confidential Information necessary for the purposes of facilitating check-in will be pre-populated as part of the Internet Check-In electronic processes. SIA may introduce other Flight-related Internet Transactions to which this Section may apply and  please be similarly assured that only essential Confidential Information relevant to the particular Flight-related Internet Transaction will be pre-populated.  For the avoidance of doubt, SIA shall not be liable to you for any losses, damages and costs (whether direct, indirect or consequential) which you may suffer or incur in the event that the above Internet Check-In facility and/or other Flight-related Internet Transactions are abused by other passengers travelling together with you in the same PNR and/or that they have checked-in or transacted on your behalf without being duly authorised by you.
