Singapore Airlines First To Unveil Iconic Console Games On KrisWorld
4 February 2013 - In keeping with its constant drive to enhance the entertainment offerings for its customers, Singapore Airlines debuts the brand new Red Eye Collection Games on KrisWorld, its award-winning in-flight entertainment (IFE) system. The introduction of these 15 iconic console games, which previously were available only on PlayStation, Windows and iPhone platforms, will now be offered for the first time on an IFE platform. This represents a significant step up in terms of IFE technology, and adds to more than 80 games currently available on KrisWorld.
The carefully chosen selection, which features high-quality graphics and effects, offers customers of all ages travelling on the Airline something special to look forward to besides familiar IFE offerings such as movies, TV programmes and music. Highlights include the multi-award-winning Worms series, which is available exclusively on SIA; Actua Golf 2, an advanced golf simulation game; Actua Soccer 3, a 3D-graphics football game; Fallout, an RPG (Role Playing Game) of the Year award winner; Syberia, an Adventure Game of the Year award winner acclaimed for its graphic design and intelligent script; as well as Warm Up!, an F1-style racing game.

The Red Eye Collection Games is currently available on selected Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800 aircraft. It will be made available progressively on all A380s, as well as the A330-300, A340-500 and Boeing 777-300ER fleets.
As the launch customer for Panasonic Avionics’ next-generation eX3 system for the Airbus A350s, as well as the first to deliver eX3 features on the Boeing 777-300ERs, SIA will continue to innovate and push the boundaries of onboard entertainment. Beginning with the eight new B777-300ER aircraft due for delivery this year, passengers can look forward to more technologically advanced games which form part of a new IFE experience with the latest video screen technology and touch-screen handsets.
