Senior Management of Major Subsidiaries
Chief Executive Officer
Goh Choon Phong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Singapore Airlines (SIA) since 1st January 2011, joined the Company in 1990. He has held various senior management positions both in Singapore and overseas, and joined the SIA Board on 1st October 2010.
Before his appointment as CEO, Mr Goh served in several senior executive roles, including Executive Vice President Marketing and the Regions, as well as President of SIA Cargo, Senior Vice President Finance, Senior Vice President Information Technology, and Senior Vice President Commercial Technology. His career also includes overseas assignments in China and Scandinavia.
He currently sits on the Boards of SIA Engineering Company, Mastercard Incorporated, and Air India, and chairs Budget Aviation Holdings, which oversees SIA’s low-cost subsidiary, Scoot. He previously served on the Boards of Mount Alvernia Hospital and Virgin Australia.
Mr Goh is a member of the National University of Singapore’s Board of Trustees, where he chaired its Innovation and Enterprise Committee, and is part of its Nominating Committee and Executive Committee. Mr Goh is part of the MIT Presidential CEO Advisory Board, which comprises CEOs from leading global companies across a variety of industries.
Within the aviation industry, he is active in the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines’ (AAPA) Executive Committee, serving as its Chairman in 2023. He was a member of the International Air Transport Association’s Board of Governors between June 2011 and June 2023, and was its Chairman from June 2017 to June 2018. He stepped down from the Executive Committee of the Star Alliance Chief Executive Board in June 2023.
Mr Goh received the Excellence in Leadership award at Air Transport World’s Airline Industry Achievement Awards (2024), the Airline Passenger Experience Association’s CEO Lifetime Achievement Award (2016), the Business Council for International Understanding’s Eisenhower Global Innovation Award (2016), and the CAPA Asia-Pacific Airline CEO of the Year award (2015).
At the 2019 Singapore Corporate Awards, he won the award for Best Chief Executive Officer for companies with $1 billion or more in market capitalisation. He was named Person of the Year by Orient Aviation magazine in 2018, and honoured as Outstanding Chief Executive Officer of the Year in the 2017 Singapore Business Awards.
Mr Goh holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as three Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, Management Science, and Cognitive Science, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Chief Commercial Officer
Mr Lee is SIA’s Chief Commercial Officer. He was promoted to Executive Vice President Commercial on 1 April 2020 and appointed as Chief Commercial Officer on 1 June 2023.
In this role, he is responsible for the Cargo, Customer Experience, Marketing Planning, and Sales and Marketing divisions, as well as the sales regions. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Scoot. He was appointed as CEO of Tigerair in 2014, and in 2016 led the merger of the airline with Scoot.
Before joining Tigerair, Mr Lee was the President of SIA Cargo, and prior to that, he was SIA’s Senior Vice President Corporate Planning. Mr Lee also headed SIA’s Company Planning and Fuel department, and held Regional Vice President roles in West Asia and Africa, as well as the North Asia sales regions.
Mr Lee is also Chairman of KrisShop, and a director of Budget Aviation Holdings, Everest Investment Holdings and Tata SIA Airlines.
Mr Lee holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Pennsylvania in the USA.
Chief Operations Officer
Mr Tan is Executive Vice President Operations and Chief Operations Officer of Singapore Airlines (SIA). In this role, he is responsible for SIA’s Cabin Crew, Customer Services and Operations, Engineering, and Flight Operations divisions.
He joined SIA in 1995 as a Cadet Administrative Officer and held various positions in SIA Cargo, before being promoted to Cargo Manager Corporate Strategy (2001) and Senior Manager Freighter Planning and Corporate Strategy (2002). Mr Tan was appointed SIA Cargo’s General Manager Singapore in 2003.
In October 2005, Mr Tan was seconded to Shanghai-based Great Wall Airlines as its President. He returned to SIA Cargo as Senior Vice President Operations in October 2008, and assumed the post of President SIA Cargo in March 2010.
Mr Tan was appointed as SIA’s Senior Vice President Corporate Planning in August 2013, and Senior Vice President Marketing Planning in August 2016. He was promoted to Executive Vice President Finance and Strategy in April 2020 and appointed as Chief Financial Officer in May 2021. He was appointed as Executive Vice President Operations and Chief Operations Officer in September 2023.
Mr Tan was appointed to SIA Engineering Company’s Board in September 2023 and is Chairman and Director of SilkAir Private Limited. He serves as a Director of Budget Aviation Holdings, which oversees SIA’s low-cost subsidiary Scoot and is Chairman of Encounters Pte Ltd.
Mr Tan is a member of the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce Advisory Council since December 2023.
He holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Management from Imperial College London.
Chief Financial Officer
Ms Jo-Ann Tan is Senior Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Singapore Airlines. She oversees the Finance Division, which include the accounting, taxation, financial reporting, risk management, insurance, and investor relations functions.
Ms Tan joined Singapore Airlines in 1999 and started her career in the Passenger Marketing and E-Commerce Development departments. She was appointed Ticketing Manager (Development) and then Passenger Services Manager (Service Centre) in 2003, and subsequently posted overseas as Manager Northern China and Manager Victoria and Tasmania.
She returned to Singapore in 2006 as Senior Manager Network Planning and held management positions in the Cabin Crew Planning and Training, Loyalty Marketing, and Network Revenue Management departments.
Ms Tan was promoted to Divisional Vice President Business Transformation in 2017, and drove the Company’s successful first Transformation programme from 2017 to 2020. This strengthened the SIA Group’s brand proposition and customer offerings, identified new revenue opportunities for the Company, and increased operational efficiencies and enhanced cost competitiveness across the organisation.
She was promoted to Senior Vice President Marketing Planning on 1 April 2021, overseeing the Commercial Planning, Network Planning, Network Revenue Management, Partnerships and International Relations, as well as Loyalty Marketing departments.
Ms Tan graduated from Imperial College in the United Kingdom with a Master of Engineering.
Senior Vice President Flight Operations
Captain Eugene C. Antoni began his career with Singapore Airlines (SIA) in 1987 as a cadet pilot, and has clocked more than 17,000 flight hours across the Airline’s fleet. Following his promotion to Captain in 1996, he moved up the ranks as Line Instructor Pilot, Instructor Pilot, and Flight Operations Safety Manager, and was also a Flight Examiner and an accredited Accident Investigator.
In 2012, Captain Antoni was seconded to Tigerair as Director of Flight Operations. He led the integration of the Scoot and Tigerair flight operations in 2016, and was appointed Scoot’s Senior Vice President Flight Operations in 2017. After his return to SIA in 2018, he served in Flight Operations management as Chief Pilot of the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 fleets, as well as Chief Pilot of Training. He was promoted to Divisional Vice President Line Operations in 2021, and later assumed the role of Divisional Vice President Technical, Regulatory, and Projects.
Captain Antoni was appointed Senior Vice President Flight Operations, Singapore Airlines, in March 2023. He is also the Chairman of Singapore Flying College, a Board member of the Airbus Asia Training Centre, and a committee member at the International Air Transport Association’s Operations Advisory Council.
Captain Antoni holds a PhD in Conflict Management and a Master of Theology (both from Trinity College and Seminary), a Master of Science in Air Transport Management (City, University of London), and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development – 2030 Agenda (Universidad Internacional Isabel 1 De Castilla).
Senior Vice President Marketing Planning
Mr Dai Haoyu began his career with Singapore Airlines (SIA) in 1998 as an Analyst Programmer. He held multiple roles within the Information Technology Division until 2004, when he moved to the Network Revenue Management department. In 2006, he was appointed Regional Marketing Manager South East Asia, Japan, and Korea.
He was subsequently posted to several key overseas markets for Singapore Airlines. He served as Manager Eastern Japan in 2007, Vice President North West USA and Canada in 2008, and General Manager Germany in 2011.
Mr Dai returned to Singapore in 2013 as Senior Manager Solutions Design (Operations). He was promoted to Vice President Application Services, Operations, in 2014, and appointed Vice President Application Services, Customer Service, in 2017.
He was promoted to Divisional Vice President Digital in 2019, and led the SIA Group’s digital transformation through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr Dai served as Acting Senior Vice President Marketing Planning since September 2023 and was confirmed as Senior Vice President Marketing Planning in September 2024. In this role, he oversees SIA’s network revenue, network planning, loyalty marketing, partnerships and international relations, as well as commercial planning functions.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences and a Master of Computing from the National University of Singapore, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University.
Senior Vice President Engineering
Mr Lau joined Singapore Airlines in February 1992 as a Technical Services Engineer. He held positions in Production Planning, Engineering Planning, Engineering Supplies and Technical Projects before being appointed Manager Projects in 2000 and subsequently Senior Manager Technical Services in 2001. He was promoted to Vice President Technical Services in 2004.
Mr Lau became Vice President Company Planning & Fuel in July 2009. He was seconded to SIA Engineering Company as Vice President Line Maintenance (Services & Projects) and Vice President Heavy Maintenance & Planning in 2011. He returned to Head Office as Vice President Technical Services in December 2012.
In July 2013, Mr Lau was promoted to Divisional Vice President Engineering (Fleet & Technical Services). He took up the position of Divisional Vice President Engineering (Technical Projects & Divisional Services) in 2014. Mr Lau was confirmed in his appointment as Senior Vice President Engineering in June 2016.
Mr Lau holds a Master of Business Administration from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the National University of Singapore.
Chief Sustainability Officer and Senior Vice President Corporate Planning
Ms Lee Wen Fen is Senior Vice President Corporate Planning at Singapore Airlines. Her areas of responsibilities include Legal, Compliance and Secretariat, Properties, Group Planning, Procurement, Public Affairs, Transformation, and Sustainability. Ms Lee is also SIA’s Chief Sustainability Officer.
Prior to this, she held different leadership roles in the company, ranging from marketing to human resources.
Ms Lee has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Engineering, both from University of London.
Acting Senior Vice President Customer Services and Operations
Mr Lu began his career with Singapore Airlines in 1996 as a Technical Services Engineer. He later took on roles in the Product Innovation, Internal Audit, and Passenger Marketing departments, before being posted to Japan as Manager Kyushu in 2004.
In 2005, Mr Lu returned to Head Office to take on the role of Senior Manager Sales and Marketing, and moved to the Ground Services team as Senior Manager Ground Services in 2009. He was promoted to Vice President Cabin Crew Planning and Operations in 2011 before taking on the role of Vice President Ground Services in 2013. He was promoted to Divisional Vice President Customer Services in 2016 and subsequently took on the role of Divisional Vice President Operations Control in 2018.
Mr Lu was appointed Acting Senior Vice President Customer Services and Operations in June 2023.
He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the Texas A&M University.
Senior Vice President Human Resources
Ms Ng joined Singapore Airlines as Senior Vice President Human Resources on 17 October 2017.
Prior to joining Singapore Airlines, Ms Ng was the HR Operating Partner at Temasek International Advisors. She provided Strategic HR support to new business platforms spearheaded by the Enterprise Development Group (EDG) at Temasek. Prior to Temasek, she was the Chief People Officer at Fortis Healthcare. In that role, she successfully completed the global start-up of Fortis Healthcare headquarter operations in 18 months.
Prior to Fortis Healthcare, Ms Ng held global HR leadership roles at Neptune Orient Lines and General Electric.
Ms Ng holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Leicester, U.K.
Senior Vice President Cargo
Mr Tan began his career with Singapore Airlines in 1996 as a Cadet Administrative Officer. He was appointed Passenger Marketing Executive that same year.
He was posted overseas as Marketing Services Manager (Taipei) in 1998, Manager Chubu in 1999, General Manager Vietnam in 2004, and General Manager UK and Ireland in 2006.
In 2008, Mr Tan returned to Head Office as Vice President Ground Services, and was promoted to Divisional Vice President Customer Services in 2009.
Mr Tan was seconded to wholly-owned subsidiary SilkAir as Chief Executive from October 2010 to September 2012. He was subsequently posted to Singapore Airlines Cabin Crew Division and appointed Senior Vice President Cabin Crew in 2013. In March 2016, Mr Tan took up the portfolio of Senior Vice President Product and Services.
Mr Tan became Senior Vice President Customer Services and Operations following the re-organisation of Product and Services Division in November 2017. He assumed the position of Senior Vice President Cargo on 1 June 2023.
Mr Tan holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations (with Distinction) from Stanford University, USA.
Senior Vice President Cabin Crew
Mr Tan graduated with an Honours degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He subsequently completed an MSc in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland).
In 1994, Mr Tan joined Singapore Airlines in Head Office Marketing. He later spent six years as an overseas manager with stints in Japan (based in Hiroshima and Nagoya), South Korea and Germany.
He returned to Singapore in 2002 to head the Ground Services Department. In 2003, he was appointed Divisional Vice President Customer Services.
In August 2004, Mr Tan became Senior Vice President Cabin Crew. In December 2010 he was appointed Senior Vice President Product and Services.
Mr Tan returned to Cabin Crew Division as Senior Vice President Cabin Crew on 21 March 2016.
Mr Tan has held directorships in Virgin Atlantic Airways, Service Quality Centre, Tradewinds Tours & Travel and the Singapore Turf Club. He is currently holding directorship at RCMS Properties.
Prior to joining Singapore Airlines, Mr Tan was a regular commissioned officer in the Republic of Singapore Air Force for 11 years.
Senior Vice President Information Technology
Mr Wang was appointed as Senior Vice-President Information Technology on 10 September 2015, responsible for IT and Digital.
Mr Wang joined Singapore Airlines as Divisional Vice-President IT Infrastructure in November 2012. He was appointed Acting Senior Vice-President Information Technology in September 2014.
He currently serves on the boards of Encounters Pte Ltd and KrisShop Pte Ltd.
Prior to joining Singapore Airlines, Mr Wang held senior IT management positions in Neptune Orient Line Limited and Thomson Reuters.
Mr Wang holds a Master of Business Administration degree with High Honours, Beta Gamma Sigma from the University of Chicago-Booth School of Business and a Master of Computer Engineering from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
Senior Vice President Customer Experience
Mr Yeoh joined Singapore Airlines in 1991 and worked in various management roles in Singapore and overseas. Mr Yeoh was appointed Vice President Sales & Distribution in 2004 and was posted to Los Angeles as Vice President Southwest USA in 2008 and to London as General Manager UK & Ireland in 2011.
Mr Yeoh returned to Singapore as Vice President IT Applications Services in 2013. He became Divisional Vice President IT Application Services later that year.
In September 2013, Mr Yeoh was appointed Director India Project Office to oversee the establishment of a new full service airline in India and was seconded as Chief Executive Officer of Vistara in 2014.
Following his de-secondment from Vistara in October 2017, Mr Yeoh returned to Singapore Airlines and was tasked to head the newly set up Customer Experience Division.
Mr Yeoh was promoted to Senior Vice President Customer Experience on 1 October 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (First Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
Chief Executive Officer Scoot
Mr Thng was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Scoot on 16 June 2022.
Mr Thng joined Singapore Airlines in 1999 as a Cadet Administrative Officer and had stints in Head Office in Loyalty Marketing, Network Revenue Management and Network Planning.
His overseas postings began as Regional Marketing Manager North Asia, followed by Manager Northern China, GM Italy and GM Germany. He was appointed Chief Executive of SilkAir in August 2012 and promoted to Divisional Vice President grade on 1 July 2013.
He was seconded as Chief Commercial Officer of Scoot (Budget Aviation Holdings) in May 2016 and to Vistara, SIA’s joint venture with Tata, as CEO Vistara on 1 October 2017. Mr Thng was promoted to the Senior Vice President grade on 1 October 2018.
Mr Thng was appointed Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing on 1 January 2022, and looked after the E-commerce, Global and Corporate Sales, Brand and Marketing, Pricing and Merchandising departments, as well as the Sales Regions.
Chief Executive Officer SIA Engineering
Mr Chin joined SIA Engineering Company as Chief Executive Officer on 1 June 2023.
Prior to that, Mr Chin was Senior Vice President Cargo, Singapore Airlines (SIA), following the re-integration of SIA Cargo (then a wholly-owned subsidiary of SIA) as a Division within the Airline on 1 April 2018. Before that, he had been President SIA Cargo since May 2014.
Mr Chin began his career with SIA in 1995 as a Cadet Administrative Officer and has held various executive positions across the SIA Group.
He was Chief Executive SilkAir from 2007 to 2010 and Chief Executive Officer of Tiger Airways Holdings from 2011 to 2012. Prior to his move to SIA Cargo, he held the position of Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing in SIA.
He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of SIA Engineering Company and KrisShop Pte Ltd.
Mr Chin has a Bachelor of Science (Economics) in Accounting & Finance and a Master of Science (Distinction) in Operational Research, both from the London School of Economics & Political Science, University of London.
Acting Senior Vice President Customer Services and Operations
Ms Ooi Chuin Ling began her career with Singapore Airlines Cargo as a Senior Business Tech Analyst in 2002. She later took on roles in the areas of Charters and Operations, as well as Network Development within the Freighter Planning department. She was promoted to Manager Freighter Planning in 2008, Senior Manager Network Profit Management in 2011, and Vice President Planning in 2013.
She was appointed Vice President Application Services (Customer Service) in SIA’s Information Technology Division in 2018, when SIA Cargo was integrated as a division within Singapore Airlines. Ms Ooi was subsequently appointed Vice President Business Transformation in April 2020, overseeing the SIA Group’s transformation efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic. She was promoted to the Divisional Vice President grade in July 2022, and took on the role of Divisional Vice President Cabin Crew in June 2023.
Ms Ooi was appointed Acting Senior Vice President Customer Services and Operations on 1 June 2024.
She holds a Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. She also holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University.
