A. General conditions
- The KrisFlyer programme and PPS Club structures, benefits (including without limitation award tickets, upgrade, PPS Value, PPS Rewards and KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards) and other features (including but not limited to KrisFlyer miles) are part of a loyalty programme which has as its objective, the promotion of the purchase of goods or use of services provided by Singapore Airlines or any partner specified by Singapore Airlines. Singapore Airlines does not purport (whether through the KrisFlyer programme, the PPS Club structures, benefits (including without limitation award tickets, upgrade, PPS Value, PPS Rewards and KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards) and other features (including but not limited to KrisFlyer miles) or otherwise) to operate a payment service regulated under the Payment Services Act and Singapore Airlines is not licensed, approved, registered or regulated under the Payment Services Act. Consequently, holders and users of the KrisFlyer programme, the PPS Club structures, benefits (including without limitation award tickets, upgrade, PPS Value, PPS Rewards and KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards) and other features (including but not limited to KrisFlyer miles) will not be afforded the relevant protections set out in the Payment Services Act and related subsidiary legislation, regulations, circulars, notices, directions and guidelines. Should KrisFlyer miles be able to be purchased, such purchased KrisFlyer miles may only be redeemed in Singapore for the payment or part payment of goods or services (or both) provided by Singapore Airlines and/or the related corporations of Singapore Airlines.
- A KrisFlyer membership is strictly personal and only for use by the member. It cannot be transferred, sold or bartered. The member is responsible for ensuring that his/her KrisFlyer account is not used improperly. Misuse of membership cards, KrisFlyer programme, PPS Club and their related benefits may result in termination or suspension of membership, or withdrawal of benefits. Singapore Airlines reserves the right to claim compensation for damage sustained in connection with the misuse.
- Singapore Airlines further reserves the right to modify the KrisFlyer programme and PPS Club structures, benefits (including without limitation award tickets, upgrade, PPS Value, PPS Rewards and KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards) and other features, including these Terms and Conditions at our sole discretion without prior notice. This includes changes without limitation to the following:
- KrisFlyer programme partners or participating organisations;
- Rules for earning or using KrisFlyer miles;
- Qualification and renewal criteria for all tiers in the KrisFlyer programme and PPS Club structures;
- Award structure and availability of awards;
- Rules for use of awards and the cities served; and
- Features of special offers and promotions. Awards from programme partners are dependent on the partner's continued participation in the KrisFlyer programme.
No damage claims against Singapore Airlines by members may be lodged as a result of legally required country-specific alterations.
- Although Singapore Airlines will use reasonable efforts to notify members of material changes to the KrisFlyer programme, PPS Club and/or to these Terms and Conditions, it is the responsibility of members to keep themselves up to date. Any use of the KrisFlyer programme and PPS Club by a member will be deemed as acceptance of any amendment.
- Certain programme and tier benefits as well as rewards may be subject to their own set of terms and conditions, as specified separately.
- Singapore Airlines is entitled to, in its sole discretion and without prior notice to a member, conduct a review of a member’s account and account activity at any time for any purpose, including but not limited to issues of non-compliance with any term or rule of membership of the KrisFlyer programme and/or PPS Club and/or these Terms and Conditions.
B. Membership enrolment and obligations
- The member will be able to download the digital KrisFlyer Membership Card via the SingaporeAir mobile app after enrolment. The digital membership card must be presented during travel on Singapore Airlines or Scoot, or transactions with KrisFlyer airline and non-airline partners, for the member to enjoy the applicable membership privileges and benefits.
- KrisFlyer membership is open to individuals aged two or above. In respect of individuals aged between 2 to 16 years (“Minors”), parental or legal guardian consent is required to join KrisFlyer. Membership is not available to corporations or other legal entities. Membership is accepted at the sole discretion of Singapore Airlines.
- A KrisFlyer account belongs to the specified member and cannot be transferred to any other individual(s). Save for KrisFlyer accounts held by Minors, membership, including the KrisFlyer membership card, status credits (Elite miles, PPS Value), KrisFlyer miles and other KrisFlyer benefits are not transferable. For KrisFlyer accounts held by Minors, KrisFlyer miles can be transferred to the linked parent/guardian’s account provided that the requirements for account linking are met and the relevant service fees paid. See full Terms and Conditions governing the transfer of KrisFlyer miles for linked KrisFlyer accounts in section O.
- All email addresses provided to Singapore Airlines must be valid and personal to the member or applicant and must not be affiliated to a travel services entity. In addition, the email address provided by new applicants at the time of enrolment must not have been registered with Singapore Airlines previously.
- It is the responsibility of members to keep their mailing address and email address up-to-date. Any communication sent to members will be regarded as delivered when posted to a mailing address on record. Singapore Airlines will not be responsible for any delayed, misdirected or lost mail. Any change in the Members' mailing address must be provided in writing, or updated online by accessing your account at KrisFlyer.com.
- Any change in name, date of birth or gender on the member's record will be accepted upon written notification to Singapore Airlines by the member. The member shall submit the relevant legal documents as proof of change. Other changes to personal data, such as a change in residential or email address, may be made online by accessing your account at KrisFlyer.com.
- Multiple memberships are not permitted. Each member must maintain only one account. Similarly, enrolment of several persons in a single account (i.e., a joint account) is not allowed.
- Membership enrolment fee is waived until further notice.
- The member’s obligations are as follows (where the applicant/member is a minor, the parental/legal guardian will ensure that the KrisFlyer applicant/member fulfills these obligations):
- Provide Singapore Airlines with correct or complete information in connection with the application or membership and promptly inform Singapore Airlines if such information changes. An account with inaccurate and/or incomplete personal data shall be closed at the sole discretion of Singapore Airlines.
- Notify Singapore Airlines of any discrepancies in the membership account concerning any transaction within three months after that transaction. Regularly check the membership account to confirm that KrisFlyer miles and status credits (e.g., Elite miles, PPS Value) have been properly credited. Singapore Airlines is not obliged to correct any under-crediting of KrisFlyer miles and/or status credits that is not brought to its notice within the three-month period. Any overcrediting of KrisFlyer miles and/or status credits may be corrected by Singapore Airlines at any time, even after the three-month period.
- Provide Singapore Airlines with any information that it requests in order to verify eligibility for any member benefits, which includes without limitation copies of boarding passes, receipts and similar documentations, hotel bills and car rental agreements.
- Quote the KrisFlyer membership number if requested, as a precondition of any activity which may result in the member’s claim to KrisFlyer miles, status credits (e.g., Elite miles, PPS Value) or other member benefits.
- Keep the member’s KrisFlyer membership number, PIN and password secure and confidential and not disclose them to any person other than, where applicable, the parental/legal guardian..
- From June 2023, all members shall receive electronic statements (e-statements) via electronic mail (e-mail), to the e-mail address designated by the member in his/her KrisFlyer profile. The member has the responsibility to ensure that the e-mail address specified in his/her KrisFlyer profile is updated.
- All members agree that Singapore Airlines has the sole discretion to modify, restrict, withdraw, cancel, suspend or discontinue e-statements from time to time.
C. Membership termination
- A KrisFlyer membership account with no recorded activity for a consecutive period of 45 months or more from the date of the last recorded activity may be closed without prior notice. A KrisFlyer membership account with no recorded activity for a consecutive period of 24 months or more from the date of commencement of membership may also be closed. For the purposes of this clause, “recorded activity” means transaction(s) in which a member earns KrisFlyer miles as recorded on his/her KrisFlyer membership account.
- Singapore Airlines reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership in the KrisFlyer programme and/or the PPS Club or any part thereof, at any time with or without prior notice, even though termination may affect the member's right to accrue KrisFlyer miles/Elite miles/PPS Value or redeem KrisFlyer miles for awards. Singapore Airlines is not liable to members for any loss of value or benefits that may arise as a result of any changes made to the programme. In particular, occurrence of any of the following events may cause suspension or termination:
- In the sole opinion of Singapore Airlines, the member has misbehaved on any flight (whether or not the flight is operated by Singapore Airlines) or at any airline premises or at any airport. Misbehaviour includes but is not limited to verbal or physical abuse of an airline employee or airline agent or a passenger, destruction or damage to property on any aircraft or at airline premises, or at any airport.
- Singapore Airlines bans the member from his/her flights or the member is banned from the flights of any associated Singapore Airlines airline permanently or for a specified period of time.
- The member has contravened any term or rule of membership of the KrisFlyer programme and/or PPS Club and/or these Terms and Conditions.
- The member has breached any of Singapore Airlines' Conditions of Carriage.
- In the sole and exclusive opinion of Singapore Airlines, the member has acted dishonestly or in any manner that is unacceptable to Singapore Airlines in relation to his/her membership.
- The operation of the KrisFlyer programme, the PPS Club structures, benefits (including without limitation award tickets, upgrade, PPS Value, PPS Rewards and KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards) and other features (including but not limited to KrisFlyer miles) results in or could result in Singapore Airlines having to be licensed, approved, registered or regulated under the Payment Services Act and/or being in breach of the Payment Services Act or where the Authorities (including but not limited to the Monetary Authority of Singapore) have instructed or directed Singapore Airlines to cease the operation of or to otherwise restructure, such programmes.
- If the membership is suspended, member will not be able to use any KrisFlyer miles, status credits (including but not limited to Elite miles, PPS Value and Reserve Value), benefits and rewards (including but not limited to PPS Rewards and KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards) accrued. Due to their limited validity, these KrisFlyer miles, status credits and rewards may expire during the suspension period. Provided the accrued KrisFlyer miles, status credits and rewards have not expired during the suspension period, the member may use the remaining valid KrisFlyer miles, status credits, and rewards once the suspension of the membership is lifted.
- If the member is permanently excluded from membership or has his/her membership terminated in the KrisFlyer programme and/or the PPS Club, any KrisFlyer miles, status credits, rewards and other benefits accrued shall be revoked and forfeited without compensation. Whether the member is suspended or permanently excluded or the membership is terminated, the member shall be liable for all damages, litigation and other associated costs.
- A member may terminate the KrisFlyer membership at any time by giving written notice and returning the membership card to Singapore Airlines. Upon receipt of the notification, any outstanding KrisFlyer miles, status credits, rewards, benefits and privileges will be forfeited without compensation and cannot be transferred.
- Membership will terminate immediately upon death of the member. KrisFlyer miles, status credits and rewards earned but not redeemed at the time of death, as well as benefits and privileges, will be automatically forfeited on the death of the member. Miles and rewards do not constitute personal property and may not be bequeathed or otherwise treated as personal property.
D. Earning KrisFlyer Miles
#earn-miles
- KrisFlyer miles are the base units of measurement in the KrisFlyer programme. Companies with whom members can earn KrisFlyer miles are known as programme partners and Singapore Airlines may, at its own discretion, add or remove any company as a programme partner at any time.
- All members shall have their own personal KrisFlyer account to which the KrisFlyer miles they earn will be credited. KrisFlyer miles may not be exchanged for cash or vouchers.
- To earn KrisFlyer miles, members must quote their membership number at time of reservation and provide their membership card when they use the services of Singapore Airlines or any programme partner. Only certain transactions with programme partners are eligible to earn KrisFlyer miles. Some programme partners may advise of different earning/crediting procedures which should then be followed by members.
- If the number of KrisFlyer miles credited to the members' accounts is incorrect, members should inform KrisFlyer within three months of receiving their statement. Transfer of KrisFlyer miles to another partner programme is not permitted, unless otherwise stated in the Terms and Conditions.
- KrisFlyer miles for flight transactions are earned as follows:
- KrisFlyer miles are awarded for tickets purchased in Singapore Airlines Suites, as well as First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class on participating airlines including Scoot. For industry discount, agency discount or award tickets, infant fares and other special discounted tickets as specified by Singapore Airlines or airline partners from time to time, no KrisFlyer miles will be earned.
- For tickets booked on charter flights, no KrisFlyer miles will be earned. Individual airlines may also exclude mileage accrual on certain flights, such as codeshare flights.
- KrisFlyer miles can only be earned once per flight for each person, regardless of the number of seats purchased.
- Subject to points f, g and h KrisFlyer miles are awarded based on the actual distance travelled, as calculated using the great circle distance formula, from the airport of departure to the airport of arrival, plus other bonuses when applicable. For connecting flights, which require change to another flight number, the KrisFlyer miles earned are based on the actual distance as calculated, using the great circle distance formula, for each sector within the trip.
- For itineraries involving only Scoot operated flights booked on FlyScoot.com, KrisFlyer miles are awarded based on the value of the fare (excluding taxes) and selected ancillaries.
- For the avoidance of doubt, for itineraries involving both (i) Singapore Airlines operated flights and (ii) Scoot operated flights, KrisFlyer miles are awarded based on the actual distance travelled, as calculated using the great circle distance formula from the airport of departure to the airport of arrival, fare class, plus other bonuses when applicable.
- For tickets paid with KrisFlyer miles, KrisFlyer miles will be earned in proportion to the amount of cash paid with credit/debit card for each ticket (excluding certain components such as airport taxes, e-visa, travel insurance and Scoot Protect). KrisFlyer miles will be allocated firstly to the KrisFlyer member whose KrisFlyer miles were used to redeem the tickets (if he/she is travelling in the same itinerary). Thereafter, any KrisFlyer miles earned will be proportionately credited to the other passengers in the itinerary as long as they are KrisFlyer members. KrisFlyer members who purchase tickets for their nominees but who are not part of the itinerary will not earn KrisFlyer miles. KrisFlyer miles can only be credited to KrisFlyer accounts for tickets redeemed with KrisFlyer miles.
- On Singapore Airlines, KrisFlyer miles are awarded for travel in the Singapore Airlines Suites, First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class and in their corresponding booking classes as follows:

KrisFlyer miles are not awarded on codeshare flights marketed by Singapore Airlines and operated by non-KrisFlyer partner airlines. For a list of KrisFlyer partner airlines, please click here. Mileage accrual rates may vary for partner airlines. For more information, members should consult the online table for accrual levels or call KrisFlyer Membership Services
- KrisFlyer miles for non-flight transactions are earned as follows:
- KrisFlyer miles for non-flight transactions will be awarded within timelines per the respective non-air partner. Please refer to our partner listing on KrisFlyer website for more information.
- Credit and Charge Card: Members earn credit/charge card points on participating credit and charge cards based on the value of valid, eligible purchases made on the card. Members can then convert these credit/charge points to KrisFlyer miles according to the conversion rate that is specified by the individual partner programme.
- For co-branded credit and debit cards, as identified and modified by Singapore Airlines from times to times, KrisFlyer miles earned will be automatically deposited to the member's KrisFlyer account each month.
- When selected co-branded credit/debit cards are used to purchase a Singapore Airlines ticket online, the bonus KrisFlyer miles earned on the selected co-branded credit/debit cards are based on the purchase value of the ticket and not the actual miles flown.
- The type of credit/charge/debit card held by the member has no bearing on the member's status within the KrisFlyer programme and does not entitle the member to lounge access or any Star Alliance/Singapore Airlines associated benefits.
- Hotel: Members can earn KrisFlyer miles by the following means:
- For each qualifying hotel stay at participating hotel partners. A hotel stay is defined as any number of consecutive nights at one hotel, regardless of the number of rooms booked during the stay and regardless of the number of occasions the member checks in during the stay.
- By converting Hotel reward points to KrisFlyer miles, according to the conversion rate that is specified by the individual partner programme.
- Car Rental: Members earn KrisFlyer miles for each qualifying car rental, regardless of the number of days or cars rented.
- Other non-flight transactions (including without limitation telecommunications and e-Commerce transactions): please refer to the list of partners where KrisFlyer miles can be earned, and the terms and conditions of each partner under the KrisFlyer programme.
- KrisFlyer miles can only be accrued by a KrisFlyer member in the following ways:
- Flight transactions: KrisFlyer miles are accrued by the KrisFlyer member travelling on the flight regardless of who pays for the ticket or transaction.
- Non-Flight transactions: KrisFlyer miles can only be earned or converted by the KrisFlyer member performing the transaction with programme partners.
- Members must travel or use the products and services offered by the programme partners to receive credit. For unused tickets, unconsumed products or returned products and services, no KrisFlyer miles will be received.
- Some programme partners may disallow certain categories of their members from transferring points earned in their programme to the member's KrisFlyer account.
- Singapore Airlines reserves the right not to award KrisFlyer miles or status credits on flights where any flight coupon utilisation in the ticket does not comply with the Singapore Airlines General Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage. KrisFlyer miles or status credits will be awarded at Singapore Airlines' sole discretion.
- Bonus KrisFlyer miles earned from promotions will be credited at the end of the promotional period.
- Pooling of KrisFlyer miles and/or status credits is not permitted and each KrisFlyer membership can only be utilised by one person. Singapore Airlines reserves the right to cancel a KrisFlyer account and all KrisFlyer miles and/or status credits in the account, if it is found to be used by more than one person.
- Members are only eligible for credit with one frequent flyer programme for each flight or transaction. Where a member attempts to accrue KrisFlyer miles, points or status credits with more than one programme for the same flight or transaction, the KrisFlyer miles, points or status credits awarded for the flight or transaction will be forfeited.
- Requests for missing KrisFlyer miles will only be entertained if travellers have identified themselves as KrisFlyer members when making a reservation and the KrisFlyer Membership Card was presented at the time of check-in, or when making use of the products and services offered by programme partners.
- Transfer of KrisFlyer miles from a member’s KrisFlyer account to another account in a different frequent flyer programme, and vice versa, is not allowed. Save for KrisFlyer accounts held by Minors, transfer of KrisFlyer miles from one member’s account to another member’s account is also not permitted.
- Singapore Airlines shall not be liable for any delay in crediting of miles to members’ accounts for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to technical faults, and inaccurate and/or incomplete information submitted by members to our KrisFlyer programme partners.
E. Claim for Missing KrisFlyer miles
- Members should allow two weeks for KrisFlyer miles earned on Singapore Airlines flights and four weeks for KrisFlyer miles earned on KrisFlyer partner airline flights, to appear in their KrisFlyer account before raising a claim for missing KrisFlyer miles.
- In the event KrisFlyer miles do not appear in a member's KrisFlyer Account, the member may request that the KrisFlyer miles be retroactively credited to his/her KrisFlyer account. Missing KrisFlyer miles credits request will only be accepted for processing within six months of the transaction date.
- This can be done online or by completing a Retroactive Mileage Credit Request Form. Online requests for Retroactive Mileage Credit can be done for Singapore Airlines and KrisFlyer partner airline flights at www.krisflyer.com. Claims submitted online may be processed immediately and retroactive KrisFlyer miles credited in the next statement cycle, if all required information submitted are correct and match those on record and in system.
- Retroactive mileage claims that are made prior to enrolment in KrisFlyer are only valid for Singapore Airlines flights. The flights must have taken place no longer than 6 months prior to enrolment. For flights taken on air partners, requests will be subjected to the partner’s approval.
- The following documentary evidence is required for transactions with programme partners:
- For hotel stays: a copy of the hotel bill
- For car rentals: a copy of the car rental agreement
- For shopping: the original purchase receipt
- For enquiries regarding KrisFlyer miles converted from a non-airline partner's programme to KrisFlyer programme, members should refer to the timeframe specified within the terms and conditions of the respective KrisFlyer programme partner, and resolve any issues directly with the programme partner concerned. KrisFlyer miles can be transferred from a non-airline partner programme to member's KrisFlyer account; however, this action cannot be reversed.
