What types of booking alerts are offered?.

Singapore Airlines offers the following types of booking alerts: a. Check-In Notification/Confirmation Alerts We will notify you when your flight is available for check-in. This generally occurs 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. Once you have completed your check-in, we will then send you a confirmation alert. Alerts can be sent via SMS or email. b. Redemption Waitlist Confirmation Alerts These alerts are only available for our PPS Club and KrisFlyer members, who have signed up for the service. If you have requested to be placed on waitlist for an award flight, you can choose to be alerted, either through SMS or email, when the redemption waitlist becomes available. You will need to then confirm and ticket the waitlisted flight after you have received the alert. If you have subscribed to receive the Redemption Waitlist alert, you will also automatically be subscribed to receive the Ticketing Time Limit alert. The Ticketing Time Limit alert will inform you of the deadline by which your award booking must be ticketed, after which the booking will be automatically cancelled. The alert will be sent to you via the same channel as your Redemption Waitlist alert. Please note that redemption waitlist confirmation alerts cannot be sent to nominated individuals. c. Waitlist Confirmation Alerts If you have made a commercial booking through our Singapore Airlines office and are waitlisted on your preferred flight, we will send you an SMS alert when the waitlist becomes available. You will then need to contact the local reservations office to confirm the waitlisted flight. Only passengers who have made their bookings directly with us and have provided their mobile number at the time booking, will be eligible for these alerts. d. Seat Waitlist Confirmation Alerts These alerts are only available for our PPS Club and KrisFlyer members, who have signed up for the service. If you have ticketed a flight, but are waitlisted for your preferred seat, you can choose to be sent an alert when that seat becomes available. Alerts can be sent via SMS or email. Occasionally, you may be alerted to seat availability but find that you are unable to confirm the seat. This may occur if it has already booked by another customer. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please note that seat waitlist alerts cannot be sent to nominated individuals. e. Flight Disruption Alerts In the event of a Singapore Airlines flight disruption due to a flight delay or change in flight schedule, we will send out flight disruption SMS alerts to passengers booked to travel on the affected flight. All passengers who have provided their mobile number when making the booking (either through a Singapore Airlines office, our website or a travel agent) will be eligible for these alerts.
